The system for On-Board Fare Collection and Control allows drivers to carry out all the operationsExpendedora The system consists of a ticket machine, fare collection units, information posters and the associated software.

The on-board system allows choosing different fares with flexibility in these. Passengers can pay at the start of the route or at a stop in between, and can do so using either cash or contactless cards.

Servicio

There are three kinds of journeys:

  • Regular Service: assigned in accordance with the planning department.
  • Intensification: when there is an excess of travelers and additional services are required.
  • Empty transfer: when a vehicle is moved from one garage to another without picking up any passengers.

 

Canceladora

When picking up passengers, the operations’ screen has four basic sections:

  • Fares/operations. Designed to show the payment method: direct payment, normal, pensioner or large family.
  • Stop/destination. This section allows the driver look for the destination requested by the passenger. This search is carried out with the number pad, selecting it from the full list of destinations or with buttons which include the three most common destinations.
  • Number of passengers.
  • Current stop. This is controlled automatically by GPS.

 

Inspector

The system also includes an Inspection system where a mobile phone can be used to read passengers’ contactless cards and, if necessary, block offenders’ cards.

At the end of the day, the driver issues an end of service receipt which shows the relevant data, including takings, facilitating the work of the professionals and the inspection.
